Absorption Is Everything
With supplements, more is not always better. What matters is not what you take but what your body actually absorbs.
This is particularly true of CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10), a fat-soluble compound central to mitochondrial energy production. Many CoQ10 supplements advertise high milligram counts, but without adequate absorption much of that dose never reaches the bloodstream.
This is why Excelgenics formulated CoQHealth with Piperine, a black pepper extract studied specifically for its effect on CoQ10 uptake.
The CoQ10 Absorption Problem
CoQ10 is difficult for the body to absorb because it is:
- Poorly water-soluble
- A relatively large molecule
- Dependent on dietary fat for uptake
Research on CoQ10 pharmacokinetics consistently identifies absorption, rather than dose, as the primary limiting factor in achieving meaningful plasma levels (Bhagavan HN, Chopra RK. Coenzyme Q10: absorption, tissue uptake, metabolism and pharmacokinetics. Free Radic Res. 2006;40(5):445-53). This is why taking a larger dose of a poorly formulated product often produces little benefit.
Why Piperine Is Included
Piperine, derived from black pepper, has been studied for its role in improving the bioavailability of fat-soluble nutrients. One study looked specifically at piperine's effect on plasma CoQ10 levels following oral supplementation (Badmaev V, Majeed M, Prakash L. J Nutr Biochem. 2000;11(2):109-13).
Piperine is thought to act by influencing intestinal absorption and the metabolic processing of nutrients in the gut wall and liver, allowing a greater proportion of the ingested dose to reach circulation.
What Sets CoQHealth Apart
- 300 mg Coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) per capsule
- 5 mg Piperine per dose
- Formulated to support uptake of a fat-soluble nutrient
- Free from artificial colours; vegetarian capsule
- GMP and ISO certified manufacture; FSSAI licensed; third-party tested
The aim is not simply more CoQ10 — it is better-absorbed CoQ10.
What CoQHealth Is Formulated to Support
- Cellular energy production and everyday stamina
- Cardiovascular wellness as part of a balanced lifestyle
- Antioxidant defence within cell membranes
- Cognitive vitality
Who Might Consider It
- Adults over 40, as natural CoQ10 levels decline with age
- Physically active individuals with high energy demands
- Anyone interested in supporting healthy ageing through nutrition
- People managing demanding schedules and slow recovery
If you take prescription medication or have a diagnosed health condition, consult your doctor before use.
Take It With Food
Because CoQ10 is fat-soluble, take CoQHealth with a meal containing healthy fats, ideally in the morning or at lunch. That single habit does more for absorption than increasing the dose.
